Born in Tokyo, Japan, Shu Yamamoto began His violin studies at age 3. He started to study viola at age 17, with Ryo Sasaki at Toho Gakuen School Of Music.
He performed at Spring Festival in Tokyo, Miyazaki International Music Festival and Takefu International Music Festival, among others, and made guest appearances with orchestras such as Japan Century Symphony Orchestra as a principal player.
He attended master-classes with Gerard Causse, Walter Küssner and Ori Kam.
