The 24th Takefu International Composition Workshop

We are recruiting composition workshop students!

Schedule: 31st August (Sunday) 2025 to 7th September (Sunday) 2025 (8 days)

Main Venue:
Echizen City Cultural Center（Takase 2-3-3, Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, 915-0832）
Echizen City Labor’s Welfare Center（Chuo 2-5-1, Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, 915-0814）and other places

Course Descriptions:
Lectures by faculties, open composition lessons, listening sessions, discussions, lectures on instruments, open rehearsals, concerts etc.

Fees:
〇Full period: 40,000 yen
(This charge includes free admission to all concerts. )

〇Single Day: 6,000 yen
(This charge includes free admission to concerts on the day. Additional fee of 10,000 yen will be needed if he/she wants to get a lesson of his/ her composition work at an open composition lesson. )

※Meals, accommodation and transportation expenses are not included.
※Please make your own accommodation arrangements. There are a limited number of hotels near the venues, so please make your reservations early.
※There are a plenty of food shops around the main venue of the workshop and the concert hall.
※We have a scholarship system in which tuition fees are reduced. Please read the guidelines below.

【Composition Workshop Scholarship】

We offer a scholarship for the 24th Takefu International Composition Workshop held between the 31st August to 7th September 2025 in Echizen city.

Scholarship students acquire a 10,000 yen discount of the fee (students need to pay other costs by themselves).
If you want to become a scholarship student, please read the following description about the qualification and send required materials to the office of the Takefu International Music Festival Board.
We will choose some scholarship students based on your materials.

24th Takefu International Composition Workshop Scholarship Qualification

◎Qualification
Open to composers of any nationality, age and career.
He/she must have a strong interest in learning composition.
He/she must attend the 24th Takefu International Composition Workshop for full period or at least 5 days.

◎Required Materials
Make entry by sending materials below.
1．1 – 3 pieces of your own composition.
2．Sound examples or rinks of above pieces. (For electronic music, sound examples are needed.)

◎Deadline: 4th July (Friday)

◎Announcement of Result
The screening will be held in the mid of July and the result will be notified in order around the end of July .
